Samurai Experience is a unique experience outside of Japan where you can live firsthand the habits of the famous Samurai warriors. A fun, safe and unique way to learn to use a Katana that ranges from learning to use meditation to concentrate better to using a real Japanese Katana against a bamboo (or similar) target.

Will I hurt myself?

No. During the experience, an expert will guide you and be there for you 100% of the time. We have suitable materials for the experience to avoid any damage. We have analyzed the risks and the riskiest moment of the activities is the sword fight with your companions. This is done with special soft foam swords and with suitable protections for hands, legs, face and head. So, get ready to enjoy the experience and forget about fears.

What is the best group size?

The recommended size is between 8 and 14 people since the facilities are optimised for that number of participants. If you are more, there is no problem because we have two rooms that work simultaneously. If you are less, the experience is more intimate.

How long is the Experience?

Depending on the number of people that make up the group, the experience lasts from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours. The experience is divided into 4 parts:

1- The first a briefing of about 5-15 minutes (depending on the size of the group) to prepare and explain the rules.

2- Next we move into action to live the main part of the experience that lasts between 45-90 minutes (depending on the size of the group) in which you will dress like Samurai, you will learn to meditate, you will be taught Katana techniques , you will fight with your companions (with foam swords and protections, 100% safe) in various activities by pairs, teams and individuals and finally you will cut a bamboo target (or similar) with a real katana.

3- The Samurai team photo so that you have a good memory of the experience.

4- Finally we will give you access to a Japanese VIP area where we will invite you to Japanese tea and a Japanese beer per person. Here will be the time to remember and share your experience with your colleagues and with your monitor. You have this area reserved for 45 minutes. In case of no departure after you, you can enjoy the area for longer without problems.

What are your schedules?

Our hours to start your adventure are from Monday to Thursday from 15:00 to 20:00 (we close 22:30 when the last game ends). Friday, Saturday, public holidays and the day before a public holiday from 10:00 to 22:00 (we close 00:30 when the last game ends). Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (we close at 10:30 p.m. when the last game ends).

Do I need to bring something?

To come you must make sure you are wearing socks and we recommend you bring some clean socks to avoid odors during the experience, since it will be without shoes (there is a place to store them).

We also recommend bringing a spare shirt to play (you can change in the toilets quietly) since the activity has adrenaline rush and if you go to dinner later it is better to change clothes. Inside, we provide you with the clothes to wrap yourself in the role of the Samurai, which you will put on top of the street clothes.

Is there an age limit?

At Samurai Experience we are prepared to make the little ones enjoy too. Our experience is suitable, unless otherwise stated, for children 7 years and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age (who will be responsible for them).

It is important to note that minors, even accompanied by their guardian, will not make the cut with the real katana.

At Samurai experience we attach great importance to living a unique and unforgettable experience, for that security is important. For this reason, and for the good of the entire group, our staff reserves the right not to let someone do the activity if we detect signs of drunkenness or substance use.

I want to change my reservation. Will I be charged a fee?

A reservation change implies the cancellation of a reservation and the registration of a new reservation. For this reason, the rules applied will be the same as those explained in the cancellation policy.

In any case, we recommend that you contact Samurai Experience by phone to provide personalised solutions.

Can I add an extra person to the reservation?

Without a doubt, you can add an extra person to the reservation if you continue without exceeding the maximum number of participants for each game. We do not need to know in advance as they can pay the same day when they arrive. Remember that we only accept card payments in our stores.

Samurai Experience is perfectly adapted for wheelchair accessibility. Even so, for better care we advise you to contact us so that you can send us your needs so that we can make you live the best experience.

Of course, the more the merrier! Our staff supervises the entire experience, which is not especially physical and the premises comply with the ventilation regulations. Future Samurai are welcome at our facilities! If you have any specific concerns, we suggest that you speak to a healthcare professional before playing.

Can I play if I have claustrophobia?

Absolutely. Our premises are 600 m2 and the experience takes place in areas of at least 80 m2. There is always a minimum of one of our staff with you to help and supervise what is necessary.

We do not use any lighting that could affect people with epilepsy.

Sure! The material used for the game is professional and is reviewed daily. For sword fighting, we use training foam swords and head, face, hand and leg protections. It is the material used for children's martial arts classes where the number 1 priority is the protection of our children.

Besides, the whole experience will be guided by an expert, pay attention to it at all times and we assure you that you will leave the experience with a huge smile on your face.

Are food and drinks served?

The experience includes at the end one Japanese beer per person (of legal age), Japanese tea and Japanese sweets. However, no one will be able to live the experience if our staff detects signs of drunkenness or substance use in a person.
